Nautilus was founded in 1985 in Vibo Valentia, Calabria, on the initiative of a group of young graduates and scholars who wanted to create within the region an important and ambitious business project.
The launch of such a project was made possible thanks to funds and the opportunity made available by the implementation of law 44/86 (Law De Vito) aimed at young professionals in Southern Italy.
Initially, the activity of the company was orientated towards the sector of geophysics and marine geology.
Subsequently, due to the acquisition of new technology and a highly specialist research team, the company was able to diversify and cover a wider range of services.
In 2003 Nautilus created the first biological marine culture plantation in Italy, which the company runs parallel to the traditional services which it offers, such as the production and the commercialisation of high quality fish products.
